May 9, 2008Sheesh! It seems like just last week I was writing about the 37th Gay Pride celebration in L.A., and now the 38th Gay Pride celebration is less than a month away. Time scampers by!
This year, Christopher Street West has gone all out, with a smart new user-friendly website sporting awesome graphics and massive content. Click on “Entertainment”, and you will get a full entertainment schedule, plus thumbnail pictures of the entertainers, plus a list with links to nine different pavilIons, which include: Children’s Garden, Country, Circuit Dance, Erotic City, Heritage, WAMU® Latin Dance, Rhythm & Soul Dance, WAMU® Main Stage, and Empowerment. Speaking of entertainment, this year’s headliners at the Main Stage will be Joss Stone on June 7th, and Olivia Newton John on July 8th.
If you want to have more fun than you ever thought you could, volunteer in any of these three categories: Beverage, Parade, and General. You can find volunteer applications on the Pride website at the bottom of the “Applications” category.
By the way, parking will be a nightmare as always. Check with the City of West Hollywood for lots nearby.
