This has been a long and grueling political season, and it promises to get even longer. However, for the first time in many years, Californians will have the chance to make a difference in the polls, as our primary elections will be held, along with 23 other states, on February 5, when many delegates will be first chosen, instead of in June, when so many seats will be already filled that our votes would make little difference.
But then, who to vote for? I have been inundated with campaign advertisements, just as you have, and watched several debates, and am still confused, maybe because, as I have grown older I have seen and heard so many liars and crooks in politics, and cynicism has become natural for me. So I have turned to the opinions of those who I feel are qualified to give advice, one of whom is Neal Zaslavsky, a West Hollywood based management and political consultant with a long track record in political education and also in managing many political campaigns. You might read his Op-ed piece in www.WEHONews.com entitled “The Most Important Election In Our History”, in which he discusses the Democratic contenders for the Presidency.
I found it very informative.
Please make your voice heard. Vote February 5!
